Funny TV Shows

German media never gets tired of pointing out japanese couriosities such as men having a harem of plastic dolls instead of a proper wife, the strange behaviour of Japanese tourists and- of course - Japanese TV.
And I will do so too today! Yeeha! Suuuper strange!
My favorite show: hanerunotobira
On their web site (http://www.fujitv.co.jp/hanetobi/index2.html) they translate (?) it as "you knock on a jumping door" which is very straange to start with, but it gets better.
First, four guys wear insect costumes in super silly colors (green, yellow...)



Then their task is really simple:
try to do something really "girigiri" (to the very limit, knapp in german) like jumping on a stack of high boxes. If they can do it, more boxes are added until it becomes impossible.


Of course it gets suuper cools when they (or one of them) fails to do the girigiri task!

Then the punishment comes.....

Woha!

These fabulous spider women appear dramatically (insects do scared faces and run away etc.) and prepare the punishment....




Voila:
Put stinky towel in face of poor insect

or -

which I like even better - prepare bad breath by eating garlic or similar (in very theatrical manner) then get long clear plastic tube, stick it to the nose of the poor insect guy and breathe deeply in the tube (!!!!) (how SICK is that! who thinks of this for TV???!)

but have to admit its fun to watch after a day in crrazzzy Japan!
