東北宮 -- Tohoku

yes, Japan is beautiful! and green! in so many places besides Tokyo such as Tohoku for example. we took five days off and went there by sei-shun 18 kippu, a train ticket which lets you travel 5 days (or 5 people on one day) as far as you can on one day, just for 11.500yen! the catch: only local trains.
we spent 6.5 hours on the train to get to Sendai.
but once we got there it all got smaller and wilder...

these friendly tanuki greeted us in Futakuchi-Onsen, cute as they come!

in Shiroishi we saw a magnificent castle, no other tourists, great!
finnaly we found a campground (see picture) were we only were greeted by cows! (i wonder what japanese cows say, dogs say wan-wan, pigs bah-bah but cows? can anyone help me out on this?)
